Illustration Friday: "Super Hero." I figured that the most powerful superhero i could think of when i was nine was how i perceived myself. In later years, i say i lost that perspective, but secretly i haven't. Don't tell anyone.
I like the shawdow, it illuminates the little boys fantasy, which is a pretty cool trick for a shawdow. Great crisp clean lines and colors, really pops!
The thin "one pixel" line quality bothers me. If you are going to use thin lines like that, make them more precise, otherwise you need bolder lines. The drawing of the kid is ok, but the drawing of the shadow is great. I really like it. The only part of the shadow that bothers me is the drop shadow thing on the cape. You need to get rid of it. In fact, the shadow can be one flat shade and it would be great. (You should at least see if it works that way.) Also, the fact that you used the same brick over and over works in this one. It's great.
I agree with Mike -- the shadow looks excellent, but the kid could use a little more work. Maybe try getting some really solid reference. It might help you get the pose just right.
Cool stuff. This is a small thing, but I wish the pose of the kid's arm matched the arm in the shadow. (One looks like his fist is facing one way while the other is pointing another way. At least that's how it looks to me).

Nice one! I think that's probably true of a lot of people (I know I used to think I could fly off the top of my slippery slide).

i, however, like to think that my shadow is a bit smaller than real-life me!
Cool character!

Chalk another point up for what Mike said. I really like the drawing the shadow.
